My Boys

This is to my boys,

The ones who call me shawdy

I’ll always remember you,

And one of my treasures you’ll be

Tats and goldchains,

Pants saggy and free.

Will always be a lesson

-never judge what you think you see.

‘Cause I thought you were bangin’

But you guys were just hangin’.

And some of the nicest guys,

Bringing up so many “whys”.

Showing me you’re benign;

An' treatin’ me so fine.

Thanks to you,

I got tags on my back.

Since you’ve graduated

Your company I lack.

A "gangster" is just a stereotype

Another bias label,

Getting to know you guys,

Eradicated that fable.
