My body ... the body

Mark 14:38

38 Stay awake and pray that you will not fall into temptation.

The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

My body (the body)

Do not consider the body.

It is intrinsically evil.

Just look at it simply as

the land of sin’s domination.

Unless we allow the power

of the Spirit to apply the Cross

we won’t enjoy the pleasure

of the dawn of our salvation.

The will and the mind

and deep seated emotion

have to be touched

daily by the Cross.

To move the very self

from the place of devotion

giving up everything

not counting it as loss.

The church is a body

of reborn believers.

The Church is an entity,

a spiritual seed.

The church feels alive

when pain and aching flourish

for only through grief

we know we are set free.
