my beautiful nightmare

the makeshift lines

of the devil's eyes

are lurking in the room

his breath

lingering on my skin

I don't want to do this again.

the first time I met him

he looked as if he'd just left a meeting with grim

but he was mesmerizing

his face

stuck in my head

I couldn't help but dream of seeing him again.

he saw me from afar

staring-this is how we became who we are

we met between earth and the underworld

though you wouldn't be able to tell the difference

I've seen both-the chaos has this kind of indifference

he looked into my eyes and saw innocence

the way he made my heart burn made it seem like it was his incense

but I love the pain

that's why I stay

it's meant to be this way.
