I am going to be subjective when I describe,

The personality traits that set my mother apart,

From everyone else I know.

The personality traits that make my mother,

Awesome.

She is smart.

The first to offer useful advice.

The first to ask meaningful questions.

The first to provide answers.

She is unselfish.

The last one to spend money on herself.

The last one to eat a meal.

The last one to ask a favor.

She is dedicated.

The first to step up.

The first to set things right.

The first to finish the job.

She is humble.

The last to talk about herself.

The last to open gifts on Christmas.

The last to judge.

She is caring.

The first to take in family members and friends.

The first to listen to your frustrations.

The first to offer condolences.

If I were to keep going I would have to write a book.

So I will end with this last one.

My mother is strong.

She has went through a tremendous amount of grief and pain,

Though you would never know.           

Her flaws are easy to forgive,

And they make me love her even more.

I am so glad that this awesome woman is my mother.
