multi dimensional me

Location

Lanai City
United States

multidimensional me

i am

like the yin and the yang

of extremes

a paradox of contradictions

stuck in constant

halves

they call me

hapa

hawaiian

then tell me im white

like the color of my skin

dictates my heritage

like i aint my fathers

baby girl

precious boy

the doctors

tell me that

i cannot be both

male

and female

they

force me to

choose

one or the other

like gender

is binary

not a pallet of colors

ranging

from blue

to pink

to purple

people call me

selfish

call me greedy

like my inability

to love another person

but still crave their

touch

is some

kind of sin

like my romantic

orientation

is

not real

as if

being an ace of spades

leaves me incapable

of understanding

love

call me

inhuman

and now i stand

two split

personalities

facing the reality

that my

existence

should not be possible

it’s illogical

because

i cannot both

be a child

and an adult

as if

being wise

equals maturity

i am a philosopher

born from the womb

of laughter

and crayon

now

you can’t tell

me

who

i am

because

i

am

a cocoon

embereo

fully developed

and standing

proud

the enigma that

is

me

shouts to the world

you can’t tell

me

who

i

am
