Mourning Love

Blue skies, minds connect, pulling me with you

Love is a beautiful thing, that’s true,

Like plague filled land - ruin stalks what you do;

Filling my heart with emotions of doom.

Together we have a love that is so fair,
Supplying such sweet words; silently sewn.

Just as jealousy and hate, we’re a pair,

Swallowing my heart - my love for you known.

Within myself, I cannot tell a lie,

When you’re around I can’t help but show love;

You’ve captured my heart, clutched it with a sigh,
Keeping me here like captive mourning dove.

Just know that I love you, above all else

My hatred: like fire, My heart: like ice; melts.
