A Mothers Embrace

Your arms wrapped around me

Holding me tight in the cold winter storm

As you looked into my eyes and told me everything would be alright

That loving myself is not an easy thing to do

But that it is a great feat not many are capable of

You taught me that loving myself can make me powerful

That it can make me brave

A mothers embrace can teach you so many things

You, my brightly shining mother, taught me how to love myself

My family
