Mother's Day Poem

Location

You tell me do my homework, and go to bed by nine
You tell me that you love me, almost all the time
You tell me “don’t forget…” and ask me how’s my day
But today is going to be different, here’s what I’ve got to say
You are an awesome mother, in fact you are the best
I’m glad you are my mother because you’re nothing like the rest
You let me have a laptop, and even own a phone
And let me go places, with my friends all on my own
But really why I love you, is because you’re not just my mother
You’re my counselor,  my leader, and my example in my life
And today you get to shine, because today you are the highlight
