My mother has been there, from day one.

She will not leave, until her job is done.

She spreads her love, to make things right.

Up until the time, that she says good night.

Always in my heart, with love so pure.

Any demons in my life, she knows the cure.

She’s a person, who strives for her wants.

She tries to be the best, but never flaunts.

Her smiles cure heart breaks, her words open eyes.

Her hugs mean a lot, something I often don’t realize.

I don’t know what I’d do, without my mom today.

If she weren’t here, my life would just decay.

I often forget, the things that I should do.

That should change, so I say “thank you.”

My mother knows, how much she means to me.

But I’ll tell her again, as a guarantee.

She always picks me up, when I fall.

Though I don’t believe it, my mother knows all.

She understands my hurt, and heals it with prayer.

She never backs down, she is always there.

If there is trouble, whether there or here.

I think of my mom, and there is no fear.

With the life ahead of me, I hope she’ll lead the way.

But I just wanted to tell her, my heart will always stay.
