Mother

On a cold night my mother asked me, "What do you want to be if you're born again?"

I answered to myself, "I would want to be you."

The next night my mother asked me again, "what do you want to be if you're born again?"

I faintly answered, "I want to be you"

My mother did not answer but when I look upon her face a small grin appeared on her face.

On the next night my mother once asked again,"What do you want to be if you're born again?"

I answered with all my strength, hoping my word will be heard throughout the universe,

"If I had a chance i would want to be you, mother."

My mother asked me, "There are better things to be, why'd you want to be me?"

I answered, "If i became like you a mother, and had a kid like me, then I will truly understand what it felt to be you."

My mother smile and wept like as if it her last.

Note: I wrote this poem because I know these words will never

be able to come out of my mouth.
