Hey MVP this is luis, so um this is my first poem I've written since may before I graduated.

 

 

Dark road by: Luis V

I walk down this road

the road that I discovered on my own

No one around me

no one near me 

I noticed this beautiful girl on my way home 

but her eyes were glowing red 

she looked like the daughter of the devil

She told me to take the bite of the apple 

and my eyes will be open

but I just kept on walking and didn't take the bite out of the apple

What kind of woman is this?

A woman of good or a woman of evil?

Whatever it is I want no part of her 

So I just kept walking down this dark and lonely road 

I kept on walking so that I can find the place that I was meant to go

As I kept walking I came across another woman 

A woman so sweet she took me in 

Took care of me 

I felt at peace 

But love is all I ever need

Is this woman the right one for me?

I honestly do not know 

but if she is then we'll run into each other again sometime down the future 

But it's hard to believe that I had to leave her behind

Save me from who I'm going to be

Lord I don't understand what the hell is wrong with me

Why am I like this?

When I look into my future

While the world turns away from me 

All I can think of is why the hell am I like this 

I can't deal with this rain anymore 

The rain that I though went away

But it didn't 

It was just hiding in the clouds 

I'm trying to get just a little bit stronger 

But I don't have a friend in me 

I ain't got nowhere to go 

I ain't got nothing to do 

I'm trying to let go 

But the demons in me are holding onto me 

I'm trying to escape their grips 

But they're holding onto me tight 

What the hell is going on? 

Why won't you guys let go of me?

Lord Save me 

I know I haven't been the same 

But these poems that I write now 

Aren't the same as I used to write in high school 

Lord save me 

I beg thee to come my way 

And save me 

Save me from myself before it's to late.
