Morning Melody

A melody played on the wind

Tangles itself amongst the smoke

Air crisp with cedar pine

Still cold while the sun has broke

A gentle lull of a new day

Rousing all from slumbers full

The melody is joined now here

By gentle chimes and rumbling drums

Air strong with bitter brew

Waking once silenced hums

A cresceno of symphony plays

Yet still hear the melody

The sound it still grows

Now swelling within my chest

Air sweet with morning dew

Song playing inside my breast

I join this orchestral here

The song nearly having all

To this song I am drawn

Throat ready to birth it's speech

Air buzzing with energy found

My part just out of reach

A good morning is spoken with a kind smile

All too ready to face the day to beguile

This poem is about:
My family

How I wake up to my family's morning buzz in the winter, embracing the cold and the fresh new day amongst loved ones.
