More than dreams

If we don’t dream, then why do we sleep?

If we don’t work for those dreams, why wake up?

I had a dream,

That I would one day write poems,

And right now,

I’m going to fulfil this dream,

By asking you to work towards yours.

I’m not talking about midnight dreams

In your cozy sheets.

No.

‘Cause when you wake up,

You probably don’t even remember you had one.

I’m talking about those dreams during the day,

Yes, the ones that seem to be out of reach.

Well, who told you they are out of reach?

Have you tried grabbing them? No.

Thus they fly out of reach.

Oh. There’s nobody to help you?

It ain’t their dream but yours,

Just build it, and they will come.

We don’t accomplish great things by acting only,

But dreaming.

Not by planning only, but also believing.

Don’t dream to be like Micheal Jackson,

Dream to be better than him.

Don’t limit the ability of your dreams

Using someone’s standards but

Increase it’s capabilities using those very same standards.

Many people dream and say “Why?”

But you should dream and say “Why not?”

No matter how crazy that dream of yours may be

Don’t hesitate to make a run for it.

Writing fantasy novels was someone’s dream.

Talking rats and cats. Crazy right?

But that was his dream and he or she worked towards it.

Tell somebody your dream and they laugh and say

“What? That’s impossible.”

Don’t let that stop you cause impossible,

Is I’m possible shortened.

Work your way up the ladder and one day

You will find yourself dating your dream.

Don’t let people with a blurred vision decide

Which path you take.

Cause many have the eyes, but few with vision.

We have different dreams, different visions

And different ways to achieve them,

That doesn’t count, what does is that you do.

Don’t hesitate to dream cause you’re poor,

Don’t hesitate to dream cause you’re black,

Don’t hesitate to dream cause you’re crippled.

These are just labels, and not who we are.

Only your dreams are who you are.

Some genius said,

“You don’t choose the dream, But the dream chooses you.”

Are you willing to accept that dream and use your

Talent to make it reality.

Dreams are a fantasy but not a fallacy.

The biggest threat to your dreams is you.

Unless we can dream something new,

We will never be able to leap beyond our current circumstances.

It’s no harm dreaming to aim at the moon,

Even if you miss, you will land on the stars.

Don’t let your dreams fade away cause they are too wild,

Look for someone with a similar dream,

And live it together. I dream, you dream, we all do.

What’s stopping us from changing the world?

We are dreamers.

But they are more than dreams

Our world
