The Moon
Imagine us
Under the moon
We ignore its beauty
Artemis gives light
In our days of old
Respect was common
The moon is our companion
Not just a figure, but a friend
Artemis grows solemn
Her light shines dimmer
Cloudy nights hide her blurry eyes
And she longs for our love
We gave it freely, long ago
Built temples, statues, altars
The moon, connected to our souls
We cut the bond, we broke the band
She holds back the light
She laments with each stargaze
They care not for the goddess
But for her gifts
The moon has lost its shimmer
Her face is only craters now
Still she holds hope in her heart
We will relish Artemis' love once more
