Moments of Ease
I've been told these same things before
But never quite in this way
I've seen my heart trampled on the floor
But today is a new day
I know about the bible and I know about the word
These stories aren't knew, they've all once been heard
But after everything you said
The words, phrases and euphemisms you've used
I can't help but know
That everything is new.
These moments thinking back to this last week
Makes me want to wash my sins away in a creek
Because now I know what I've done wrong
But I must stand firm and move along
