Mirrors

Mirror, Mirror

Sitting upon the wall,

Tell me clearer,

Who's truly fairest of all?

Truthful as knife is blunt

You make the world run;

Make us feel of blind contentment

And those not perfect, shun.

Tempting with useless beauty,

Creating misguided clairvoyance,

We chase as if bound by duty,

How truly ugly, our ignorance.

To relinquish shame, and envy delay

And make this horrid wrong right,

You, one must take away,

To rid this earth of such plight.

Reflections rarely reveal one's true being,

You're not needed; what's the point of seeing?
