Mirror Mirror

Mirror Mirror on the wall,

Tell me: Is there anyone who hears me at all?

I disguise myself as

a merchant, a peddler,

to get your restless attention.

And yet you all regard

me with predictable,

veiled suspended suspicion.

Snow White just eats that ruby apple,

and her dreams become a reality--

or so it’s said in all that prattle.

But it doesn’t seem that way to me

Don’t you see that it’s witchery?

Just once! Look through my eyes!

Then you’ll see that I’m right! They’re all lies!

...No wait! Listen to me!

Why do you avoid me as if I was the dead sea?

To you all, am I just debris?

What about you mirror...mirror?

...Mirror, you've been voiceless for weeks,

And my patience is at its peak!

I’ve planned for this for oh, so long!

What did I do wrong?

Hello?...

...Can you hear me?...

...Will you listen?...

Oh. I see.

I see perfectly.

You’ve also left for that distant rainbow.

And left me here buried in stiff, frigid Snow.

...But that isn’t enough for you people, is it?...

I'm forced to dancing in searing shoes down the halls to my death.

And no one is there to hear my last bated breath.

And it all disappears in White.
