Mirror Girl

Who is that girl inside the mirror?

Is she really just like me?

Does she have the same doubts and questions?

All the same insecurities?

Does she also live in fear of never measuring up?

Of always falling short?

Does she also wonder what's the point?

What's this life all about?

Is she struggling to find herself?

Or getting lost in work and life?

Or does she know just who she is?

Is she confident or shy?

Is she scared and lonely,

Or full of joy, alive?

Is she beaten down and broken,

Or made new like butterflies?

Is she the same girl who I was?

Or who I'm gonna be?

When  I look inside that mirror,

is the girl I see there, me?

She seems devastated, lonely,

Broken, lost, and sad.

Will I ever find her better?

Healthy, lively, glad?

Will I ever be the girl I wish

The mirror would show me?

It's up to me to choose that life

of who I want to be.

So mirror girl, it's time to change.

You're worthy, joyful, good.

You're grateful for another chance.

Now let's go use it well.
