I look in the mirror

and I see

 the god Shango staring

back at me.

Where I expect to see my reflection,

I do.

And yet, it is

more than it ever was.

My broad chest and shoulders,

they hold all

of my thunder.

My arms and legs

are the lightning.

My eyes--

my deep brown eyes--

they spark with my

My reflection shows me

the way I am

So when I look in the mirror and I see

the god Shango staring back at me,

I smile with confident, regal glee

For I know, that is how it's supposed to be.
