Mind over spirit

Matthew 22:12

12 So He said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless.

Moments: Mind over Spirit

Run out of words … thoughts solidified

A mental block moved into place where once life sparkled

I’m in one accord … for I’m petrified

Same old eyes that just gaze at a picture of a martyr

Today has ended … it’s still in early morn

Although my pen is scratching in search of inspiration

Routine will be offended if it is not adorned

As I’ll be surely patching temporal’s degradation

Flesh will take over … and be ruling for some time

All should obey its call as it directs everyone’s course

The night will dress in clover for poetry’s lack of rhyme

That always after all … shows the flesh without remorse
