Millennial or Monumental?

I am a member of a different generation obviously. I may have been born in the same year as my peers but I am me. No tweet will ever say differently. I am the person who leaves the post-it notes on the lockers, and puts up the posters around the school saying that everyone is beautiful. Because I was the one who heard the other girls saying they hate the way they look. The one who kept quiet as friends spilled their guts to me. The one who wiped away the tears and stood back as they walked away without a thank you. The one who stopped a friend from self-harm and suicide. I am a leader in my school, who doesn't conform to the hashtags and Insta-whatever. I do what I do. I make people happy. I make people realize their worth. Even if the rest of my high school career is surrounded by drama and complaints, someone will notice that the absence of positivity and kindness in the place may be an effect of me walking away with a diploma.
