A Message to Those Who Are Lost

Day to Day
we seem to run away,
from the things that make us feel grey.
Whether it is who we are or who we want to be,
these topics can take a while for us to truly see.
For we all experience moments in the dark.
Oftentimes, we do not see the loneliness that there may be,
in our family, friends and even me.
For I am small in the scheme of life,
but that does not mean we are inconsequential,
because even the greatest of people can be brought down,
with a few simple words that make us scrounge
the idea of who we thought we were.
They may not seem hurtful and may even lift you up
meanwhile they weigh us down with insecurities.
Honestly, you never know what a person can be
until you see them giving you their sincerest pleas.
Although, it is difficult to recover from the doubts we hide,
we cannot let our hopes decay inside.
Many give up before they even truly start,
but it may take time to mend a broken heart.
Even if we do not want to fix what we have lost in life,
you cannot live with this kind of strife.
Those around you who you love need you,
even if they are unseen in times of turmoil,
you shouldn't approach the last terminal.
Sure enough times are tough,
but what happens when you throw it all away.
Everyday we lose someone in the world,
each and every person is beautiful,
no matter what some may say
So reach, and spread your arms wide,
because we are all here, to guide you through the great divide.
Remember, that even in the darkest shades of black there will always be light,
because without the dreary we would be unable to see the moments that are bright
