A Message for Bullies and their Victims

Poetry isn’t just writing to me

It allows me to feel oh so free

My teacher made me read it

I felt a connection that wouldn’t quit

I was thinking I would share my first

It could be the best, it could be the worst

It’s time to start, so here we go,

Hope you enjoy it, let’s start the show:

The kids at school are mean as can be

They push me down and I scrape my knees

I don’t ever want to go back there

Just to see them stare and glare

They call me names and make me cry

I just want to leave and wave bye bye

Everyone looks but no one sees

What their laughter does to me

I bottle those feelings up inside

I looked happy, but I had lied

I will not let them get away with this

For now, let them have their fun and bliss

But to all of the bullies in the world out there,

You won’t succeed forever, I swear

People won’t tolerate it; they will stand up to you

And when they do, I will be saying Woo Hoo!

Why do you make people cower in fear?

It doesn’t help anyone, just makes you cheer

So stop now, before anyone else gets upset

Just walk away, no more threats

Don’t give bullies the power

To force you to cower

And to all those victims who feel the world is at an end,

Just know that I am here to receive emails that you might want to send

This poem is about:
Me
Our world
