Mental Health Before School

Location

6 p.m.

Anxiety kills

I can’t go on anymore

I am not okay

8 p.m.

It is not stopping

I’m still crying and shaking

School is breaking me

9 p.m.

I’m finally calm

I just need to get some sleep

But school takes over

3 a.m.

My teacher won’t care,

I just have to do my work.

My hands are shaking

7 a.m.

“I couldn’t finish,

not with anxiety.”

“You get a zero.”

Now.

School's too hard on us

We need to help these students

It is time for change

If it was my choice

Students with anxiety

Would finally learn

They'd learn it's okay

Put health before your schoolwork

They will forgive you

In an ideal world

They would forgive these students

And not punish them
