Mended Hearts

Oh dismal day,

our loving mother has passed away.

Disease struck her and became too strong,

we soon knew death would come along.

She did not deserve a painful end,

how will our broken hearts ever mend?

She did not go unnoticed or unloved,

she will always be remembered as our beloved.

My brothers and sisters she would watch over,

she saw us grow and become older.

When times were rough, her spirit was tough.

Her strength and courage were never enough.

She will live forever in our minds,

our love for her alway refined.

We will never forget how we would laugh and play.

Oh what a happy day!
