Memory

Reality is distant as a dream/Images become harder to procure/Shattering reailty at the seams./When the old ones continue to endure,/Seeing the shadow of a missed smile,/Wishful thinking wasted on times long gone,/Easily lost like sun on a dial/Like the sand it'd been written upon./Events fueling a new inspiration,/Lead vibrant escape to a different world,/Admiring, yet free of innovation,/Watching old dreams as they had unfurled./Shaded with a beautiful, fading hue,/How do we know these events to be true?/Once upon a memory, times long gone,/Sun breaking the clouds, beckoning new dawn.
