Memories Are Me

I am the culmination of my memories
Images faded distant from former years
Emotions and thoughts a swirling sea
Inside they conjure old joys and fears

A page in these books will shed a light
Hurt and sorrow starved and stole
Determination taught to stand and fight
Love and tenderness made all whole

Through my eyes there is a window
Read a page of me if you desire
archives to deep to truly show
No wish of mine to bore and tire

However, chase my mind in your pursuit
beautiful truths of days long past
I will open my world to you
A life deep and lovely you may see at last
