The Melody of a Pond

Tue, 12/10/2013 - 18:06 -- 64462

The water lilies spun around, dancing

To the music of the watery fall.

The frogs croaked in harmony, bouncing

From pad to pad to, on the lilies, call.

A heron flew above the earth so small.

Its long beak screeched a long mournful cry.

The cattails stood guard so stoic and tall.

Dragonflies buzzed with the wind sky high.

Their wings formed a mosaic of dye

That filled the air with color and life.

Fish hid below the waves to duck the squall.

They bubbled through the underwater world.

Each unique part of this ecosystem

Adds a string to the vibrant, lively strum.
