What is Love?

It is a word that many crave to hear

A word that many attempt to understand

But will we ever understand it's true meaning?

What is Love?

A word uttered into the the ears of a crying baby to soothe the pain

A name given to a special person to rekindle an old flame

Poison fed to those too young to understand

Is that what love is?

It's that warm feeling you get when someone holds you tight

The one thing that keeps you up waiting all night

The feeling that tells you everything will be alright

As long as you got love, right?

It's a passion that keeps the butterflies going

An emotion that prevents all doubts from flowing

The reasurrance that keeps you glowing

Makes your heart tingle and keeps your tears from pouring

One may never understand what love is

Where love comes from,

Or what started it,

We only know that it's a great feeling to have,

Also it is an awful feeling to lose

That is what love is
