The Me No One Can See

Location

A mask,

is not just something you wear on your face,

it is what can covering up the true you,

Why wear this mask?

Why do I wear mine?

I wear my mask to hide my fear,

my fear of failure.

I wear my mask to hide my weakness.

I feel everyone is out to get me,

only few push me on towards a brighter tomorrow.

I wear my mask to hide my shame, my insecurity.

I'm told that I shouldn't be scared.

I'm told to find strength from my weakness.

I'm told I have nothing to be ashamed.

I'm told that I'm fearless, strong, and humble.

I guess my mask is working.

A mask,

is not just something you wear on your face.
