Me, Myself, and Independence

Once independence takes over,

that is when you know you don't need him anymore.

And when you learn to love yourself,

that's when you know you won't need him to love you first.

Once you can make yourself happy,

that is when there is nothing worth being sad about anymore.

And when everything is going good,

everything goes great.

Once you can be yourself,

that is when you stop worrying about what everyone thinks.

And when life tries to knock you down,

get back up and just do you.

Once they think you'll never be able to get over him,

prove them wrong.

And when you've given them every reason of why you can't,

show them every reason of why you can.
