Ecclesiastes 12:13 

13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:

Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is man’s all.

 

Matters

 

Happiness and sadness   how much in between?

Standing and falling  a moment it seems.

Grasping for the future pursuing a dream.

Does it matter at all?

 

Confidence thriving in your presence a while.

Stroking your pride with a soothing smile.

Then things fall apart preparing life's trial.

Does it matter at all?

 

Feeling inadequate after a fall.

Accomplishing litle nowhere to call.

You’re alone surprisingly small.

Does it matter at all?

 

Life is just turning, I'm churning away.

Ready to be fitted in an emotional array.

Even my good thoughts wind up in decay.

Does it matter at all?

 

If I'm not good to myself … what to others I'll be?

A looser, a winner … a captive or free?

The harder I try … the less I am "me".

Does it matter at all?

 

Forgive me … I want to ask a question or two.

Do you understand me … am I getting through to you

or will you treat my inner feelings just like the flu

Does it matter at all?

 

"Be no respector of persons" … it is said,

but in this world you've got too … to get ahead.

Is not such not … what gets you all wet?

Does it matter at all?

 

Most think "too high of themselves " … this we know.

Is that what I'm doing … dwelling below?

And in doing such … "humble and meekness" oppose.

Does it matter at all?

 

It matters … but only in truth I can see.

The purpose of my being … and what I should be.

In Christ I am happy … complete and free.

Yes it matters to all.

 

The better I am … in a Christ-like way

and to pave the direction … to them who stray.

Unselfish … undemanding giving myself away,

because it matters to all

 

Trials and tribulations … will not disappear,

but great the assurance to know Jesus is near.

Available to all … to them that live here,

because we matter in All.

 

So give up your life … it is empty and frail

and come to the Savior … Who never fails.

He will accept you … to remove sin’s ordeals.

It matters on Him to call.
