Maroon

Maroon- the color of crimson love, fermented
Of December midnights, mingled with the tears of flesh
Of sweet agony, smoldering behind hazel eyes
Of you and I, trying to escape Desire

Maroon- the color of a heart slowly dying, in a casket of sophisticated expression
Of being: new life and innocence, death and darkest love
Of the blood running through our veins, of heart and human nature
Of the one I am, floating in the wake of a black swan
