Why do I write?
I write so that our thoughts will then become a voice,
A voice of power, reason, and of meaning,
A means of expression that allows me to rid of my feelings,
Feelings that fill my mind and build up pressure,
Pressure that I can no longer hold within that is ready to explode,
Explode I do, my thoughts and ideas spill onto the page leaving an everlasting imprint,
An imprint that has been fossilized like the remains of the past, except this page serves as our piece of history,
History of the account of the past and present, in which the future can look back on and reminisce,
Reminisce over a loved one, happy moment, or a dramatic event that is expressed through my typewriter and pen,
The pen’s ink grazes over the page with a light touch,
Touching people’s minds and hearts with words,
Words are much more than characters on the page, but more like hands,
Hands that bring us together and point us in the right direction,
Direction in which we may not know where to go at the moment, but mark my words we will find a way.
