Marble
Carved out of marble
I see a sea of white and blue
These marble masks you wear to alter your faces
Out of fears forced on you
The world says to hide it
Don't be different, don't be weird
Don't let others feel uncomfortable
So make yourself feel like trash thrown out the back alley
And hide it
Hide the blood the scars the silent screams
No one can hear you when you're beneath the stone
The unyielding marble
Because the comfort of the well-to-do matter
More than your sanity
So beautiful a prison, so cold
So silent a death, so pointless
Carved into marble
