The Man I Should Be

Sometimes you get lost

and you forget who you’re supposed to become

the blur becomes a sound

that becomes just one

You forget that time is costing

So you let go and live like it’s nothing

Because at this time

you’re that age when it’s time to rage

The age of manhood

so You forget

The who

the what

and the where

You just don’t listen

You just  say forget em

Don’t let others bring you down

Don’t let them make one sound

Forget those who tell you otherwise

the ones who sit there to just despise

the ones who ridicule and play dumb

that can’t actually grow themselves

so they make you feel numb

You forget who you are sometimes

You get lost in the fire this time

You become weak then stronger

You become closed off, yet wiser

But this time you decided to listen
