Magic on Earth

Have you ever starred in wonder

At my favorite of sights

A treat that’s only possible

On dark and stormy nights

When the light behind a leafless tree

Seems to set the wood a glow

It almost seems to sparkle

On the days when it has snowed

The light creates these circles

From the moisture on each branch

It shines upon the water drops

Found on every other plant

It’s almost like it’s magical

Or delusions from the dark

But see it once, you’ll look again

It’s magic leaves it’s mark

So next time the rain is pouring

And the sun has gone to sleep

Look outside your windows

For a shining leafless tree

For once you see the vision

That few take time to see

Then maybe you will tell the world

In a poem just like me.

This poem is about:
Our world
