Would it please you if at night we were to kiss
and roll in sweating flames of sounding sighs,
tightly tangled the track of time to miss,
for time was reset in our merging eyes?
Would it please you to be held by my arm
and also be caressed by my bold hand
while lips profane and do their lustful harm
on your heated skin, desire’s fervent land?
Would it please you to sleep in my embrace,
after our hunger’s deep and final thrust,
so your nightmares away my love can chase
and at first light with a kiss again combust?
No, to your liking none of this would be,
for your desire has no regard for me.
