A Loving All-Star
Location
Playing football, too much time on my hands now I'm grown,
Writing poetry is like a past time, playing baseball.
It brings joy to my heart like the love of a mother,
but its an on and off endemic like malaria.
It's like an old man watching a classic,
lights keep flashing, new poems pop in my head like this one,
nights keep lasting, a new rhyme comes up.
I can't get rid of them, they are like an old cartoon you miss as a child.
I love to write, but as life passes by I get better with time.
Even if there is an end to my career as a ball player, my poetry will succeed with
no limit.
Poetry is what makes me All-Star on and off the field
because the more I write, the more I succeed at being
the BEST OF ME.
