Love Yourself
Location
Disgust takes over my body,
Ugly and Fat yell at me- angry.
I try to tell them I'm under stress,
that I'm trying my best.
Fat, dissatisfied with me,
Makes me stop eating
For fear that I might look different.
Ugly says that I will never be pretty,
That no one will ever love me.
Days go by; I am numb with pain.
I'm lying in my dark, cold room,
Someone knocks on my door.
She appears and says she is Confidence.
She takes me to the mirror
And for once,
Someone doesn’t show me my flaws.
Instead, she touches my face
And says,
“This right here, my love, is beauty-
True beauty.
