Love Terrors
A distant terror harrows the depths of me,
Inviting the darkness of night,
Amid my silent cries of protest,
Sullying the streak of a grasping morning’s light.
To be alone, alone,
A sole flower dying in a
Field of barrenness
And in this nightmare of solitude,
A dream of hope unfolds.
I see my lover burying the length
Of me with darling kisses
As tender as a child’s first breath
Each sensation as exciting as the first.
Every desire satisfied in a moment.
Those that thirst will be attended.
Those unsung are not forgotten.
Those in the making will not be unfed.
