Love Refugees
O say, can you see?
All the hate and bigotry?
All the people that flee?
From their home country?
Do you see them standing there?
In veils, with dark skin, maybe dark hair?
They come here for protection, for care
They work hard too, so it's only fair
So why do we hate them, why are we mean?
Why don’t we love everyone we meet?
Is it because we don’t think they’re clean?
Because, to me, refugees are a real treat
So please treat refugees with respect
Because, if we don’t, it will have a negative affect
This poem is about:
My country
