Love Me

Why not love me for who I am?

You could start by not stereotyping me.

Never keeping account of

my mind, my body, or my soul.

It’s wrong

wrong because all you do is play games.

Playing cards.

You play the race “card”, but it’s not the same “card”, and

the “I’m a authority figure ‘card”.

Scared to have kids because of you

because you continue to whip us

You literally whipped my ancestors

those whips left scars so deep

that it pierces through the current generation’s souls.

I want to be you

to be in your shoes

to see how it is to be privileged

be you because I want to live that sweet life.

Only because you made my life hell.

So why not love me for who I am?

and not the person you made me to be.

My mind,

my body,

And my soul.
