Love Lost

I have sent you a dove,

It carries to you a note,

Telling you of my love.

I want to tell you of above,

The skies giving our planet a coat.

I have sent you a dove!

You wear that whitened glove,

Upon which I wrote,

Telling you of my love.

I want to sing an octave,

I want to kiss your throat.

I have sent you a dove.

I used to have a house of

Gold, on which I had a quote-

Telling you of my love

I feel you give a shove,

I am plunged into a tearful moat.

I have sent you a dove.

Here I describe my wild ladylove,

Who has become a cutthroat.

I have sent you a dove,

Telling you of my love.
