A Love Learned

Because I love you,
Everytime I see your face,
My heart races like
A jaguar chasing an antelope.
It has since I first met you.

Because I love you,
My trust doesn't fail.
If we were to bail,
Love would have a different hue.
This love was a silent oath.

Because I love you,
My fear fades far away
When I hold your hand in public.
Their words spew out like fire,
Only because they see "gay".

Because I love you,
We live life like death.
Unknowing as to what will happen,
But happy to know
We live with the stars.

Because I love you,
I learned things that no one
Could teach me, except me.
That was to love myself unconditionally.
Because I love you, I started loving me.
