For the Love of Jays

I used to think\That jays above\Were just nuisance\And knew not love.\\\ Until the day\That I saw Star,\A stellar jay \From high afar\\\ The young fledgling,\From his high cloud,\Had fallen right\In yonder crowd.\\\ Escaping legs,\And screaming girls,\T’wards me explodes\Like whippoorwill.\\\ His parents were\Near, flying ‘round,\Of people too\Scared to come down.\\\ For a while, he\Just sat there.\He and I had \A lovely stare.\\\Gradually,\He hopped away,\Looking, I think,\For place to stay.\\\ When far enough,\Parents returned\With food and care,\Not unconcerned.\\\ Right then, something\New I then learned,\The jay’s love my\Doubts overturned.
