Love Doesn't Hurt

Love doesn’t hurt but it really does

You know why

Because you proved it right

I pretend not to see it

But I know it’s there

He didn’t mean it he was just playing

I couldn’t ignore these confusing feelings

I followed my heart and made my decision

One time should’ve been enough

But I just had to have you

I knew from the beginning but I chose to ignore

Love is blind when both eyes are black and blue

But love doesn’t hurt

I keep telling myself

Actions made me think but I didn’t leave

I looked past your flaws

Even when your fist hit my jaw

I tried to ignore my feelings

But it was just too much

I was afraid of losing you

But you were already lost

Love doesn’t hurt

But it really does
