Love ...

1 Corinthians 13:3

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor,

and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love,

it profits me nothing.

Love is the foundation

for all things that are right.

Without it nothing is possible

that pleases Jesus Christ.

Without it … where is joy and peace?

It cannot be found.

To be kind, good or gentle then

has to wait another round.

There is no faith with lack of love

and no self-control.

To go through life without it

will leave you in a hole.

Patience and long suffering

would have left long ago.

No place for the Spirit to reside

where love is forlorn.
