Lost in My Thoughts
They see me for who they think I am.
They say I'm funny, I'm cool, they think I have a plan.
They don't really see me since there's a curtain I hide behind;
They don't see who I am inside my mind.
There was a time where it all had reason and rhyme,
Now answers have become so hard to find.
What will happen? Where am I going?
I'm sad, I'm lost, I'm alone,
But my curtain hides it with humor and manly scented cologne.
I don't know the things for which I'm searching.
I think there's a voice in my head lurking.
It says,"Go this way. Do that thing."
The voice puts the weight of the world on my shoulders.
I've shown a tiny pebble, but to me, it was a boulder.
They look at me and don't at all notice
Because I smile, do well, and think "please don't blow this!"
One day my dreams will come to fruition,
After I pay my college tuition...
