Lost In The Mini Mart

Lost In The Mini Mart

I got lost in the mini mart

Mesmerized by gatorade, cigarettes and pop-tarts

Later napping on your plastic coated couch

Pictures of our togetherness line the walls

I want to superglue them in place

Like pieces to a puzzle that will bring us closer to how it used to be

Instead I fall off the couch and get stuck to the things I see

I’ve had gatorade caps, cigarette butts, and pop-tart wrappers in my pockets for weeks

Waiting for you

But you got lost in the mini mart

I want to superglue them in place

Like pieces to a puzzle that will bring us closer to how it used to be

Instead I fall off the couch and get stuck to the things I see

I’ve had gatorade caps, cigarette butts, and pop-tart wrappers in my pockets for weeks

Waiting for you

But you got lost in the mini mart
